Looking back on 2013, and really looking forward to 2014

Happy 2014!

2013 was a good year for the Culinary Strategy Network. We worked on interesting and varied projects including putting together a set of school foodservice menus, doing a lot of recipe development, tracking and presenting trends, and helping to put together and judge a recipe contest. The year reminded me what I love about my work – the diversity of projects.

Working with a great group of people makes everything more interesting. From collaborating with photographers and food stylists to registered dieticians and market research suppliers to all my clients, I’ve been able to learn so much.

2014 looks like it will also be a great year. I’ll be taking some courses in Nutrition and Public Health. I’m looking forward to growing the Culinary Strategy Network, and to growing personally as well. I’ve declared 2014 “The Year of the Recipe Contest.” It is my goal to see how I do throwing my toque into the ring. So far, I’ve entered three contests. I’ll be working on more and posting on successes and learnings as the year rolls out.

All the best to you for a happy and prosperous new year.
